Liverpool vs Manchester United is the most historic game in the Premier League. The match will kick off on Tuesday evening at Anfield – a ground that United have often struggled at in previous seasons.
Although every time these two sides meet it is a momentous fixture, it will have extra importance for Liverpool, who are chasing behind Manchester City for the crown of the Premier League and are continuing their fight to win all four available tropgies this season, having defeated the Manchester Blues 3-2 in the FA Cup semi-final on Saturday afternoon.
Manchester United finally had an upturn of results over the weekend, defeating Norwich 3-2 thanks to a hat-trick from Cristiano Ronaldo, with his third being a stunning free-kick to snatch all three points.
Liverpool on the other hand are well in form right now. They have not lost a match since 8th March against Inter Milan – the second match of a two-leg tie that they went through on aggregate anyway. A win against Manchester United would see Liverpool climb back to the top of the table for at least a day, as title rivals Manchester City do not play until Wednesday, where they face Brighton & Hove Albion at the Etihad.
