Manchester United are set to play Norwich City in the Premier League at Old Trafford on Saturday 16th April. In their previous meeting earlier on in the season, United triumphed 1-0 thanks to a 75th minute penalty from Cristiano Ronaldo. While United currently sit in 7th place, Norwich are currently sitting dead last in the league with a measly 21 points after 31 games.
In their last fixture, United disappointingly lost 1-0 to a struggling Everton side. In said game, a deflected outside of the box shot from Anthony Gordon saw David de Gea wrong footed, and despite a late push back from the Red Devils, there was no redemption and Everton claimed three vital points in their bid to stay in the Premier League for a further season.
Manchester United currently sit six points outside the top four with seven games left to play. The aim for the club will still be to finish in the Champions League places, however a significant portion of the fans have resigned to finishing within either the Europa League or European Conference League places.
Norwich City look set to continue their reputation of being a yo-yo team between the Premier League and Championship, as bar a bonafide miracle towards the close of the season, they will be relegated come the end of May.
