On January 27th 2022, it was announced that Amad will join Rangers on loan from Manchester United for the remainder of the 2021/22 season.
Two days later, he was included in their starting line up against Ross County, playing on the right-wing.
Amad is a player who arrived at Manchester United with bags of potential. He has amassed a lot of fans since at the club, with his brilliant performances in the U23s and few games for the first team as well – including a brilliant goal in the Europa League against AC Milan.
Wearing the No.9 shirt, Amad scored just 4 minutes in to his debut for Rangers. You can read our full scout report on his performance against Ross County here.
Amad put in a great first performance with his new club. Although he had to be substituted in the 65th minute due to a cramp, he is set to continue his loan with Rangers with no set-backs.
This loan spell for Amad could be one that finally pushes him to such a level that he is able to then break into the Manchester United first team once he re-joins the squad for pre-season in July… although only time will tell.
