Amad Diallo praised by Rangers teammate after being a ‘constant threat’ on his debut

Amad Diallo has received praise from Rangers teammate Joe Aribo after scoring on his debut against Ross County on Saturday afternoon.

The 19-year-old completed his loan move from Manchester United to Scotland on Thursday before starting for Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s men two days later.

Despite having to come off in the 66th minute due to a knock, Amad was dangerous throughout and managed to find the back of the net in the opening exchanges of the encounter, something that will help him build his confidence as the season progresses.

Aribo echoed these thoughts, and believes it’s a great sign that the winger is already showing his danger levels in the final third.

“You could see that he was a constant threat every single time he got on the ball, and he got on the score sheet,” Aribo told Rangers TV, quoted by the Daily Post.

“He’s getting his numbers in already, and that’s very good to see.”

Amad will be hoping to feature in The Old Firm on Wednesday evening. With Celtic sitting just two points behind the league leaders going into the fixture, it’s looking to be an exciting encounter.
