It has been revealed by the Manchester Evening News that Anthony Martial has returned to Manchester United’s squad to face Brentford on Wednesday evening.
The forward was left out of the travelling squad to Birmingham in United’s 2-2 draw with Aston Villa on Sunday.
Rangnick told media after the match that Martial didn’t want to be in the squad, but later that night the Frenchman dismissed the claims from his manager on his Instagram.
In Rangnick’s press conference today, he concluded that after a chat with the striker on Sunday; that pair have resolved the matter at hand.
United have scored more than once in just two of their last eight fixtures. The frontline hasn’t been gelling, and Martial could potentially get another chance at the club this season.
A number of clubs have reported interest in taking the striker on loan this month, but United are currently pricing him out of a move through their demands. The club wants Martial’s full salary covered, as well as an additional loan fee.
Martial has played 268 matches for The Red Devils and scored 79 times since he joined from AS Monaco in September 2015.
